12/27/2023 0 Comments My cloud home plex remote access![]() ![]() Even though the M圜loud service is currently down, this direct access happens all on your own internal network, so it doesn't rely on the service that's down. This is how I do all the actual file management on my M圜loud - I mount it as a drive on my computer and just drag and drop files around. With that said, because it's just a small computer that sits on your network, you can still access that computer directly, or access the drives by mounting them as shared drives on another computer on your network. This is also what allows you to access your files remotely over the internet from your mobile devices. Western Digital has a M圜loud OS that allows you to access the device through a pretty web browser interface to set various settings and install and manage things like the Plex server. M圜loud is a device that sits on your network with a small computer and a couple massive hard drives. I apologize if there is some redundant information I promise this is not me trying to talk down to you. I don't know what your level of tech expertise is so I'm going to ELI5 here.
